Highlight & Thank You: Fundraising Success

May was an exciting month for Beautiful Mess Ministries.

Not only was the ministry in the thick of a spring tour, hosting nearly 10 concerts and worship nights, Beautiful Mess also successfully put on its first fundraiser.

“A Night of Dessert and Vision” was hosted at the Sky Armory in downtown Syracuse. About 75 supporters gathered together to enjoy desserts, worship with Beautiful Mess Music and bid on silent auction items generously donated by friends and allies.

Being the first fundraiser, Creative Director Tim Ehrhart said “it was really fun to see people pledging their support to the ministry in multiple ways,” adding that is was great to see the foundation of the ministry, and its supporters, grow.

The fundraiser was put on with hopes to connect more people to the ministry by inviting friends to sponsor tables and invite their friends and family, as well as to help the ministry reach some financial goals to help fund the ministry moving forward in 2018.

Beautiful Mess Ministries President Mike Ehrhart delivered a presentation which shared the mission of BMM and the vision for the future. He shared why, and how, BMM can change lives and culture through unifying in music and mobilizing in mission.

Other representatives involved with the ministry, including volunteers, non-profits and attendees, also had an opportunity to share how they have partnered with, or been impacted by, Beautiful Mess.

Mike Roberts, a young man in his 20s, shared a powerful story of how serving with Beautiful Mess Ministries ended up being a part of his journey to find Jesus, and eventually deciding to follow the Lord by becoming a Christian last fall.

With the combination of about a dozen bid-on silent auction items, as well as gifts made during a general time of giving, the ministry raised $9,000 during the evening and also received some matching donations that put Beautiful Mess Ministries over the desired goal.

Tim said the success of the evening he feels “brings the ministry to another level professionally,” and added that “it’s nice to feel supported.”

Beautiful Mess Ministries wants to extend another heartfelt thank you to all those who supported the event in a myriad of ways – by showing up, by helping set up or tear down, by giving of your time, by sharing your hearts and by supporting the ministry though prayers or finances, just to name a few of the ways the ministry felt blessed that evening.
